How do I add an animal?

From the 'Animals' page, click the add button. Fill in the species, breed, gender, ring number and status — these are the only required fields. You can also add a name, birth date, color, aviary and notes.

Can I add multiple animals at once?

Yes! The bulk add form lets you create several animals at once by setting shared parameters (species, breed, gender…), then customizing each animal individually (ring number, name…). You can also duplicate an existing animal to create a new one pre-filled with the same information.

How does the ring number work?

The ring number is the primary identifier for each animal. It consists of a number and a year (e.g. 'R001/25'). It must be unique per species in your farm. If you enter a number that's already in use, the app warns you in real time.
