How do I customize my dashboard?
Click 'Customize' at the top of the dashboard, next to the weather. Widgets can then be moved by drag and drop and resized by pulling their bottom-right corner, on a grid that lines them up on its own. A widget's cross removes it, and the 'Hidden widgets' panel brings it back, by dragging it into the grid or with a click. 'Done' saves your layout, 'Cancel' leaves everything as it was. The same mode opens from the command palette or from the 'Dashboard' tab of the Configuration page.
What widgets are available on the dashboard?
The dashboard offers 10 widgets: herd (bird count by gender), egg production (weekly and monthly), revenue, expenses, quick actions (4 customizable shortcuts), egg chart, herd breakdown by species and breed, upcoming hatchings tracker, upcoming banding tracker, and recent activity. Above them, the header shows the welcome message and the weather: it is not a widget and always stays in place.
How does the dashboard weather work?
The weather card, at the top of the dashboard next to the welcome message, displays the temperature, current conditions and a 5-day forecast for your farm's location. Click on it to see details: humidity, wind, atmospheric pressure. The weather updates automatically every hour. Set your location in your profile to enable this feature.
How do I configure the dashboard quick actions?
Quick actions are 4 shortcuts shown in their own widget, chosen from: add a bird, record a clutch, add a pair, an expense, a health record, an exhibition, an aviary, or a flight race if you keep racing pigeons. To choose them, click 'Customize' and then the gear on the Quick actions widget; on a phone, it sits on the Quick actions row of the list.
How does the upcoming hatchings tracker work?
The 'Upcoming Hatchings' widget displays the next 8 expected hatchings with the pair, species, number of eggs, incubation mode and a progress bar. A color code indicates urgency: red (overdue), orange (today), yellow (within 2 days) and green (more than 2 days). Click on a hatching to open the egg details.
How does the upcoming banding tracker work?
The 'Upcoming Bandings' widget displays the next 8 birds due for banding with the species, age in days and band number if already assigned. The same color code as hatchings indicates urgency. Click on a banding to open the bird details. The banding date is calculated from the species configuration (number of days after hatching).
How do I change the size and order of widgets?
On a computer or tablet, click 'Customize': drag a widget to move it and pull its bottom-right corner to change its width and height. The size is shown during the gesture and the grid lines widgets up on its own. Each widget keeps a minimum size so it stays readable: figures take at least a quarter of the width; quick actions, charts and lists at least three columns out of eight, lists over two rows. In a narrow widget, quick actions show only their icons and lists move the due date under the name. With the keyboard, the arrow keys move the selected widget, Shift + arrows resize it and Delete removes it. On a phone, widgets stack in a single column: the Customize button, an icon next to the welcome message, opens a list where you reorder them by their handle and hide them with a switch. Nothing is saved until you click 'Done'.
Can I refresh the dashboard data?
On mobile, pull down from the top of the screen (pull-to-refresh) to refresh all data at once: birds, eggs, pairs, health, expenses and notifications. On desktop, data updates automatically when you modify an element. If the system detects data changes on the server, a banner appears to suggest refreshing.
How does the herd breakdown chart work?
The 'Herd Breakdown' widget displays a colored bar showing the proportion of each species in your farm. Below, each species is detailed with its emoji, number of birds, percentage and breed breakdown shown as progress bars.
