Nine steps, in order, to go from an empty account to a farm you actually track: set up your species, record your birds, form your pairs, follow a clutch through to hatching, track your pedigrees, keep up with health, expenses, exhibitions and pigeon races, then save time every day.

The nine steps, in detail

1. Step 1 of 9 · 30 min

   Create your account and set up your farm

   The initial setup means declaring the species you keep along with their biological settings: incubation time, clutch size, laying rhythm and brooding pattern. These are what let the app work out your hatch dates instead of leaving you to keep them in your head.

2. Step 2 of 9 · 25 min

   Record your first birds

   A bird is created from five required fields, species, breed, sex, ring number and status, plus a date of birth that accepts the year alone when the exact day is unknown, which is the usual case for a bird bought as an adult.

3. Step 3 of 9 · 15 min

   Organise your aviaries

   Aviaries are laid out on a spatial board where each one is placed, resized and coloured freely, and where birds are assigned by drag and drop from a panel that permanently lists those assigned nowhere.

4. Step 4 of 9 · 15 min

   Pair your birds

   A pair is declared in one of three breeding modes, classic pair, polygamous group or complex group, and that choice determines how certain the parentage of the young will be: it is the decision that reaches furthest into the future.

5. Step 5 of 9 · 20 min

   Follow a clutch through to hatching

   The hatch date is not counted from laying but from the start of brooding, which the app works out from the pattern declared for the species, then shows pre-filled and editable for the cases no calculation can know.

6. Step 6 of 9 · 10 min

   Track your pedigrees

   Every bird gets its parents from the pair it was bred from, or from a father and a mother linked directly. The Genealogy page turns them into four readings, the ancestry, the fan chart, the tree and the descendants, over three generations on the Free plan and four with Premium or Pro.

7. Step 7 of 9 · 20 min

   Health, expenses and statistics

   A health record is declared at one of four scopes, a bird, a pair, an aviary or the whole aviary, and can carry a due date that triggers a dated reminder, in the app and on your phone.

8. Step 8 of 9 · 15 min

   Prepare an exhibition or a pigeon race

   The Results module covers two disciplines in two tabs: beauty shows judged against the standard, with a score per bird, and racing pigeon events, with their liberations, velocities and placings.

   Save time every day

   On a computer, every page opens in a window you can place next to another; the command palette finds a bird by its ring from any page, and a right click opens the quick actions everywhere. Notifications remind you of hatches, ringing and care, every list can be exported, and the Subscription window compares the Free, Premium and Pro plans.
