The app adopted, the shortcuts

The interface is set up in the very first step: the opening view of the modules, the order of the menus, the dashboard. This one gathers what saves time once the app is adopted: windows side by side, the command palette, the right click, favourites, settings that follow you from one device to the next, notifications and exports. It ends with the three plans, to choose the one that fits your farm.

The windowed interface

On a computer, every page opens in a window you move, resize, minimise or maximise, as on a desktop. Two windows side by side, the pair list and a bird’s record, beat going back and forth between two pages.

On mobile, that mechanism disappears of its own accord in favour of tab navigation at the bottom of the screen.

The command palette

Cmd+K on Mac, Ctrl+K on PC, or the search bar in the sidebar: the palette searches the whole farm, birds, pairs, clutches, aviaries, exhibitions, expenses and health records. It also navigates to any page and launches the quick actions, and it keeps your recent searches.

It is the shortcut that replaces the most clicks. A ring number is enough to open the matching record, without going through the Birds page or its filters, and the creation forms, bird, pair, clutch, health record, exhibition, expense and aviary, open from the palette whatever page you happen to be on.

If you keep racing pigeons, it also finds your races, by their name, their release point or their organiser, and adds a new one.

The moves that save time

The three-dot menu, at the top right of the cards, and a right click on an item open the same quick actions: add to favourites, edit, open the record, add a health record, delete. The entries offered change with what is under the cursor, and some save far more than a click: on a pair, “Add a clutch” opens the form with the pair already filled in, without going through the Laying page or the record.

The star marks a bird as a favourite, and the “Favourites only” filter brings them together. It is the simplest way to keep the few birds you are watching this season within reach.

Theme and units

The theme is chosen in the settings: light, dark, or automatic following your system. On a computer, a button in the sidebar switches without going through the settings.

Units of measurement are set in the same place, Celsius or Fahrenheit, which changes the weather widget and the forecast detail.

Your settings follow you

Your settings are stored on the server, not in the browser. The sidebar order, the default views and the theme are the same on the farm computer, on the tablet and on the phone. Only the dashboard layout depends on the kind of device: one for the computer, one for the phone, both saved on the server.

Notifications

The farm’s reminders arrive in the notifications: expected hatches, ringing to do, scheduled health reminders, recurring expenses to renew. On a computer, the bell is at the bottom right, in the taskbar; its counter shows how many are unread, and a click opens the panel. On a phone, the bell is at the top of the screen and opens the notifications page.

The panel filters by type and sets the unread ones apart. Clicking a notification opens what it is about, the clutch, the bird or the health record, and two buttons tidy up: mark all as read, clear the read notifications. The same reminders can also reach you by email or as push notifications, type by type, according to your settings.

The year filter

At the top right of every list, next to the “Export” button, the “Years” filter keeps only one season: birds by their year of birth, pairs by the year they were formed, clutches, health records, exhibitions and expenses by their date. Every list remembers your choice, from one device to the next; “Years” brings back the whole list.

Exports

Every list is exported from its “Export” button: birds, pairs, clutches, health records, expenses and results. Three formats, an Excel workbook, a CSV file or a PDF, and always the list as you see it, with its filters and its order; the columns are chosen just before, and that choice is remembered for next time.

A bird’s or a pair’s record comes out as a PDF, with the sections of your choice, and the record of a sold bird also gives its transfer certificate. The Genealogy page produces the pedigree certificate and the descendant report, and the Statistics page exports to PDF or CSV.

Exports are reserved for the Premium and Pro plans. On the Free plan, the button stays visible, marked with a star, and presents the plans.

Free, Premium or Pro

The Subscription window, at the bottom of the sidebar, compares the three plans and shows, gauge by gauge, where you stand against your limits.

Free is used with no time limit and no bank card. It covers a farm that is starting out: 100 birds, 40 pairs, 200 eggs, 5 aviaries, 250 health records, 8 exhibitions and races, 250 expenses, and a pedigree over three generations.

Premium, at €4.99 a month, raises those limits: 600 birds, 300 pairs, 3,000 eggs, 20 aviaries, 3,000 health records, 200 exhibitions and races, 3,000 expenses. It adds exports, the Statistics page, the fourth generation of the pedigree and priority support.

Pro, at €9.99 a month, lifts every limit and opens the AI assistant to your data: it analyses them, and it acts for you, down to entering birds from the photo of a breeding notebook.

Paid yearly, both plans cost 17% less: €49.99 and €99.99 a year.
