Where is my data hosted?
Your data is hosted in France by OVHcloud, in certified data centers. This ensures your data remains subject to European regulations (GDPR) and is never transferred outside the European Union.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. All communications between your device and our servers are encrypted via HTTPS (TLS). Your passwords are hashed with a secure algorithm and are never stored in plain text. Database backups are also encrypted.
How do I enable two-factor authentication?
From the 'Security' section of your profile. On top of your password, the app then asks for a second code when you sign in: from an authenticator app, by email, or via a passkey (your device's fingerprint, face or code). It is optional, and you can turn it off at any time. Backup codes are given to you when you enable it: keep them somewhere safe, they will let you recover access if you lose your phone.
Who can see my breeding data?
No one but you. Your data is strictly private and linked to your account. No other user can access it. The AviarySoft team only accesses your data for technical support purposes, and only with your consent.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete your account at any time from the settings. Deletion results in the permanent erasure of all your data. Data export is planned for a future version.
Does AviarySoft use cookies or advertising trackers?
No. AviarySoft does not use any advertising trackers and never sells your data. We only use essential cookies for the application to function (session, language and theme preferences).
Can I export my data?
Yes! You can export your lists (birds, pairs, clutches, exhibitions, expenses, health) as CSV or PDF from each page, and your genealogy as a PDF pedigree certificate, a PDF descendancy report or a PNG image: these exports are reserved for the Premium and Pro plans. The PDF sale certificate of a sold bird remains available on all plans. A complete export of all your data is planned for a future version.
Can I import my data from Excel?
Importing from Excel or CSV is planned soon. In the meantime, if you have a lot of data, contact us by email and we'll help you migrate.
